About

Dr. Noman is an associate professor of finance in the Thomas School of Business. Previously, he worked at Buena Vista University in Iowa as an associate professor and at Nicholls State University in Louisiana as an assistant professor. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) as well as a Certified Personal Finance Counselor (CPFC). He passed the Security Industry Essentials (SEI) and Series 65 exams administered by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He is active in Pro–Bono financial advising and a financial helpline volunteer with the Savvy Ladies.

Dr. Noman’s research interest includes behavioral and personal finance, socially responsible investing and asset pricing, He has published in several academic journals. Some recent publications include the following:
