Tonya Holy Elk Locklear's creative works will be featured in the July issue of North Carolina Literary Review (NCLR).  Dr. Locklear's poetry has appeared in several publications: Yellow Medicine Review: An Indigenous Journal of Literature; Art and Thought; Crossing the Rift: North Carolina Poets on 9/11 & Its Aftermath; and Thoughts on the Power of Goodness (edited by Timothy F Crowley and Jaki Shelton Green, Poet Laureate of North Carolina).  Her full book of poetry will be out in print soon!

By day, she works as administrative assistant for the UNCP Department of Biology.  By night and on weekends, she travels to conduct writing workshops and to share her love of creative writing.
