The newspaper is an independent news medium written, edited, illustrated, and published by students in print 14 times a year during the fall and spring semesters. The Pine Needle also publishes UNCP community news, podcasts, and video news packages on this website.
The Aurochs, the student literary magazine of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, publishes poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and art by UNCP students. Publication occurs during the spring term of each academic year. Assisting with or contributing to this publication is a good way to become involved in the department and the University.
