To work toward reaching inclusive excellence, in 2020, Chancellor Robin Gary Cummings established the Inclusion and Diversity Council at UNC Pembroke. The Council is charged with the following: 

• Develop an inclusion policy for campus
• Benchmark with peers
• Develop key priorities and metrics using the data and input received
• Support the work of organizations on campus with inclusion and diversity responsibilities
• Collaboratively implement programs to strengthen the campus community
