Steps to Study Abroad

Applications for the fall term due March 15

Applications for the spring term due October 15

Summer programs have individual deadlines

  1. Review the programs available HERE.
  2. Meet with a study abroad advisor or the UNCP Thomas School of Business, Director of International Affairs.
  3. Apply at UNCP IP Office and online at the Magellan website, selecting your top three destinations.
  4. Apply for or have a current passport, as well as other travel documents
  5. While waiting for your acceptance, check for any financial assistance and also begin planning your travel.
  6. Once accepted, meet with your academic advisor to select courses for our graduation requirements.
  7. Travel, discover, learn and have fun!

The UNCP campus is in Pembroke, NC, but your classroom can be the world!

The language study for your main courses at the host university is English.

An orientation program on the host culture and language, as well as the university and local region is typically available on your arrival.

Scholarships and stipends may be available for qualified individuals.
