Travel Grants for Students

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU START

Travel grants must be submitted a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the date of the requested travel.

FOR STUDENT TRAVEL RELATED TO STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS

Administrative Specialist with Campus Engagement and Leadership will work with the student organization to coordinate the logistics related to the travel event.

When a Travel Grant Application has been approved the point of contact for the requested travel must contact the Administrative Specialist for CEL within a week of the approved request to coordinate the details of the travel event.  If contact is not made within a week of the approval, the travel request will be considered void.  Even if an actual meeting does not take place within the week immediately following approval, contact with the Administrative Specialist to schedule a time to meet nneds to take place.  

In order for student organizations to receive grant money from Campus Engagement and Leadership, each organization must have an on-campus account in which CEL can transfer funds. Student organizations that do not have an on-campus account will need to work with the Controller’s Office to open an account or ensure that information is up-to-date for an already existing account. FOR STUDENT TRAVEL RELATED TO ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS

The staff within the academic department sponsoring the travel will be responsible for coordinating the logistics related to the travel event.

When a Travel Grant Application has been approved the point of contact for the approved event must coordinate the travel with the sponsoring academic department in a timely manner.
