9.16.24 updated at 8 a.m./ UNCP continues closely monitoring the potential for tropical weather conditions. At this time, the university is maintaining its normal operating schedule. Be sure to give yourself extra time to navigate to and from campus and be observant of your surroundings when walking across campus.

Alternative Break Program

Take action during your fall or spring break by engaging in service with your peers. Participate in this community-based program and travel to various communities across the country that are in need. Alternative Break Experiences are a unique opportunity to travel in a diverse group to new and exciting communities and collaborate with a variety of community partners to meet needs within that community.

Experiences focus on specific themes of social injustice and incorporate Break Away’s^® Eight Components of a Quality Alternative Break which include: strong direct service, orientation, education, training, reflection, reorientation, diversity, and alcohol- and other drug-free.
