All Council on Social Work Education accredited MSW programs require an extensive field practicum (internship). Field practicums must be completed in person (including the online program) in a health/human service or related organization. See our page on field education for more information.

Eligibility

Fully Online Option

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a minimum overall or major undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or a graduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00

 

Hybrid Option

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a minimum overall or major undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or a graduate degree from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 2.75

Fully Online Option

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a minimum overall or major undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or a graduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00

 

Hybrid Option

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a minimum overall or major undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or a graduate degree from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 2.75

Fully Online or Hybrid Option

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from CSWE accredited university* within the past 5 years and a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.2

*Earned degrees may be covered by the International Social Work Degree Recognition and Evaluation Service or covered under a memorandum of understanding with international social work accreditors.
