From spirited competitions to heartfelt reunions, Homecoming is the perfect time to reconnect, reminisce and make new memories. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable 2026 Homecoming and join us as we bring the whole UNCP community together for a celebration like no other.
Wrestling kicks off the week with an Intrasquad event on Tuesday, Oct. 20.. Students will hold a Pep Rally and Countdown event on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Alumni and the community join in for festivities beginning Thursday, Oct. 22.

Tuesday, Oct. 20 | 5 p.m. | Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court
UNCP head wrestling coach Othello “O.T.” Johnson and the Braves will give fans an early look at the team ahead of the 2026–27 season with the annual Black and Gold Intrasquad on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m. in Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.
The event is free and open to the public, offering fans an opportunity to see returning wrestlers and newcomers compete as the Braves prepare for the upcoming season.
Pep Rally
Wednesday, Oct. 21 | 12:15 p.m. | James B. Chavis Center
Current students, faculty and staff are invited to come together for a Homecoming Pep Rally on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 12:15 p.m. in the James B. Chavis Center.
Get ready to show your Brave pride, bring the energy and celebrate the traditions that make Homecoming one of the most exciting times of the year. Let's get BraveNation fired up for Homecoming!

Homecoming Parade

We’re rolling out the gold carpet for the Class of 1976 and earlier! Join us for the Golden Braves Society Luncheon & Ceremony, honoring 50 years of Brave pride. Alumni celebrating their golden reunion will be formally inducted.

Tailgating

Tailgating at UNCP’s Homecoming is a beloved tradition. Whether you're reuniting with old classmates, showing off your grill skills or soaking in the excitement with family and friends, the tailgate zone is the place to be.
Parking spaces are $5 for alumni, the general public, and visiting fans. All tailgate spots are first-come, first-served.
Braves Football
Grace P. Johnson Stadium | 3 p.m.
The Braves take on the Chowan University Hawks in a can't-miss Homecoming matchup! Come early for tailgating, alumni tents and student celebrations leading up to kickoff.
Concert: Waka Flocka Flame
GPAC | 8 p.m.
UNCP is welcoming Waka Flocka Flame to the Givens Performing Arts Center for a signature concert event. The four-time BET Hip Hop Award nominee is known for hits including the diamond-certified No Hands, which reached No. 13 on the charts and earned a BET Hip Hop Award in 2011.
