Stay at Home Order and Residential Students

Dear Residential Students,

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020, the State of North Carolina will be under stay-at-home orders as announced by Governor Roy Cooper on Friday, March 27, 2020. Under this new guidance to ensure the health and safety of the students who remain on campus, we will no longer be accepting any requests to enter our residential facilities to retrieve any belongings.

We are committed to providing ample time for all residential students to collect their belongings once it is safe to do so. Dates and times for a coordinated move-out process will be announced as soon as possible.

We ask that you please abide by the stay-at-home orders for your safety and the safety of all of our students and staff.

Thank you.

Housing and Residence Life

The Office of Housing and Residence Life offers residential students the opportunity to be part of a community that is clean, safe and respectful; a community that is interactive and conducive to academic, educational, and social development.

The department provides qualified staff to help meet the needs of residential students, as well as, a comprehensive programming component. Students who become actively involved in their community will discover a variety of programs and activities to complement their educational pursuits and enhance their on-campus living experience.

To apply to reside in our residence halls or apartments, a Housing Agreement/Application must be completed. The application can be obtained from our web site here. This application, along with a $150 Housing Enrollment Deposit, must be on file before a room assignment can be considered.
