The Value of Attending

Distinguished Scholars Day is your opportunity to explore academic excellence at UNCP. During the event, you'll experience:

  • Academic Breakout Sessions: Dive into engaging topics led by our accomplished faculty.
  • Honors & Scholarships Discussions: Discover how UNCP supports students through our honors programs and generous merit-based scholarships.
  • Peer Connections: Meet current Distinguished Scholars and build connections with like-minded students who share your drive for success.

Admitted students who plan to enroll at UNCP as first-time, full-time freshmen may be selected to attend Distinguished Scholars Day. To be considered for an invitation, students must be admitted by December 15. The event will be held on campus on January 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will offer an immersive experience designed to highlight academic excellence, campus life, and opportunities reserved for high-achieving students. This is an invitation only event, and space is limited. Invitees are asked to respond by the required RSVP date on their personalized invitation.
