UNC Pembroke Hosts 45th Annual Juried High School Art Exhibition at A.D. Gallery

The 45th Annual Juried High School Art Exhibition, which showcases the creativity and talent of regional high school students, is on display at the A.D. Gallery at UNC Pembroke.
The exhibition continues through March 28.
The event highlights outstanding student artwork from across southeastern North Carolina and beyond, providing young artists with the opportunity to present their work in a professional gallery setting.
A public reception will be held Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. , with an awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. The gallery will be open for viewing beginning at 10 a.m. that day.
This year's exhibition is juried by John Rhodes-Pruitt , an eastern North Carolina-based artist and UNCP alumnus whose work blends printmaking, alternative-process photography, origami and drawing. Rhodes-Pruitt, who earned his MFA in drawing and painting from East Carolina University, teaches at UNCP and Methodist University.
“The Juried High School Art Exhibition is a long-standing tradition at UNC Pembroke that reflects our commitment to supporting emerging artists and fostering creative expression across our region,” said Jessica Dupuis, associate professor of art and A.D. Gallery director.
“It's an opportunity for students to see their work celebrated in a professional space and to envision their future in the arts,” Dupuis said.
