1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 As described in the UNCP Faculty Handbook, academic freedom, absent extraordinary circumstances, in the pursuit of teaching, research, and service will be accomplished openly and without prohibitions or restrictions on the publication and dissemination of the results of academic and research activities.
