About

Dr. Liu is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems in the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology Management at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.  He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Florida State University.  He also holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology and Management (MSITM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Dr. Liu has taught MIS/MIT core courses (e.g., Systems Analysis & Design, Data Networks and Security, and Information Technology Management, etc.) His research interests are in the areas of health IT, health and wellness mobile technology engagement, and electronic health systems training.  He has presented and published his research in refereed journals and international academic conferences.  He is also a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society, the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Honor Society, and the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society.
