About

Dr. Si Ahn Mehng is the management professor at the School of Business, University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Dr. Mehng joined UNCP in fall 2015 after she earned the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in summer 2015. Dr. Mehng is a recipient of the Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship Award and the Carlson School of Management PhD Student Teaching Award at the University of Minnesota. Also, she has co-authored academic research articles and nominated as the finalist for the Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award (2013) and nominated for the Carolyn Dexter Best International Paper Award (2005). 

Dr. Mehng’s research area is on organizational behavior and human resource management, and her recent publication has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal. She also presented a number of her articles at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her present research interest is focused on physical attractiveness in the workplace, diversity management, individual differences and emotional dynamics, stereotypes, flexible work practices, and prosocial/counterproductive employee job behaviors.
