About

Dr. Riaheen Farzana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, International Business, and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business and Economics.  Her research interests focus on the development of different aspects of management and entrepreneurship research.  Hence, she seeks to create robust theoretical frameworks for enhancing managerial understanding of human resources, entrepreneurship, gender, and micro-financing.

Her teaching interest is embedded in the constructivist paradigm of learning.  her teaching experience is very diverse.  She has taught different business, finance, accounting, and management courses to universities in the USA and Bangladesh.  Moreover, she is open to teaching any management and business courses.

Dr. Farzana earned her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois, her MBA from Southeast Missouri State University, and M.Com. and B.Com. (Hons.) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.  Before coming to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, she was an Assistant Professor at Converse University, South Carolina.
