Ms. Patricia Cornette joined UNCP in 2019 as the Director of the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs in 2019. Ms. Cornette has over 18 years of experience in research administration, contract management, and research compliance having worked for institutions of higher education in Louisiana, Arizona, and North Carolina. She received her J.D. from University Federal Fluminense, Brazil and her L.L.M. in Energy & Environmental Law from Tulane in 2005. Her focus at UNCP is to implement proposal and project management to support faculty, staff, and students in their research, scholarship, and public service endeavors and to advance the university’s mission.
