About

Nikki Agee earned her BA in English and American Literature at the University of Texas at Austin and her MA and PhD degrees in Rhetoric and Writing Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. Her research interests include technical and professional writing as well as digital and multimodal rhetoric. She is particularly interested in studying 3D composing processes and the ways they affect perceptions of reality. She has taught technical and workplace writing; writing in digital environments; technical editing; 3D rhetorics; advanced composition for social work students; first-year writing; and plus-one composition writing labs. Dr. Agee has prior experience teaching technical writing to engineering and health sciences students and has taught workplace writing to business students. Before teaching at UNCP, Dr. Agee served in the US Army Reserve as a Public Affairs Specialist, and she also worked as both a middle and high school teacher in El Paso, TX. Dr. Agee is currently the editor of ReVisions and is the Website Information Coordinator for the Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages.
