Aspen Andersson

Student Body President 2023-2024

Aspen Andersson is the 2023-2024 Student Body President at UNC Pembroke. She’s from Clayton, NC in Johnston County, where she graduated from Clayton High School in 2020. Aspen is majoring in Political Science with a Pre-law concentration and double minoring in Spanish and English. After graduation, Aspen plans to take a gap year to work before applying to law school.

While in the Student Government Association, Aspen served as a Freshman Senator before taking a leadership role as the Student Affairs Committee Chair during her sophomore year and Chief of Staff during her junior year. Outside of her involvement in the Student Government Association, Aspen was a Resident Advisor for three years and worked in the Office for Community and Civic Engagement for Service-Learning. Aspen is also a Chancellor’s Ambassador and a member of the Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, Inc., where she serves as the Earth Clan Keeper and Circle Scholar.

Aspen aspires to unite the student body and community through her United We S.O.A.R. (Succeed, Own it!, Affect & Rise) Campaign. The campaign highlights the importance of connecting students to resources to foster success and belonging while prompting diverse voices and talents to catalyze positive change on and off campus.
