The Friends of the Library at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and the Kiwanis of Robeson are proud to announce the winners of the 5th annual Poetry/Short Prose Contest.

The authors read their winning pieces on April 21 in the Main Reading Room of the Sampson-Livermore Library.

UNC Pembroke's Business Visions 2004 awards banquet honored business and community leaders and outstanding students.

UNCP's Regional Center for Economic, Community and Professional Development sponsored the May 4 event, along with corporate partners Lumbee River Electric Membership Corporation, Southeastern Regional Medical Center and Lumbee Guaranty Bank.
