The BA in Art: Art Education (K-12) Licensure Track is composed of courses in studio art, art history, education theory, and the practical applications of teaching and learning in the arts. Through inquiry, production, observation, and practice, art education students will develop skills and strategies to apply innovative pedagogies that meet the demand of contemporary K-12 classrooms. Art education students engaged in the study of artistic development, cognitive, emotional, social, and cultural growth with a focus on diversity and inclusion, The Art Education Track offers students the opportunity to complete coursework and field experience that prepares them for North Carolina Visual Arts teaching license for K-12.
