Dr. Miko Nino, director of Online Learning at UNC Pembroke, has been re-elected chair of the UNC System Online Leadership Collaboration.

The leadership collaboration group consists of all leaders of online learning and distance education across all University of North Carolina System institutions.

The main goal is to promote collaboration and communication across all UNC System institutions while developing advocacy for the development of online learning initiatives. The vision for this group is to offer mutual support, share ideas and faculty development techniques and provide continued education and advocacy for online learning offices in the UNC System.

In his role as chair, Dr. Nino coordinates the exchange of ideas and resources among members of the group and provides a platform for discussing issues and needs for online programs and resources in the UNC System.

In addition, Dr. Nino was elected Communications Chair for the UNC System Faculty and Academic Developers Consortium (FADC). Similar to the UNC System Online Leadership Collaboration, the FADC supports collaboration and sharing of resources across the UNC System, but it's not limited to online programs.
