The mission of the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs (OSRP) is to cultivate an environment of research, scholarly inquiry, and creative activities by faculty and staff. 

To accomplish its mission, the Office provides: support to faculty and staff engaged in the pursuit of external funding from public and private sources; centralized coordination and review for proposal submission; records maintenance for all University extramural grants and contracts; grants management support; and training and oversight for compliance with federal and state regulations. 

These programs enrich the academic life of the University, and contribute to the communities served by UNCP.
