Geology and Geography courses provide the scientific foundation for
the investigation and understanding of the physical and cultural environments
of the Earth, and their interactions. Geology and Geography both
offer minors and academic concentrations. No major is offered in either
discipline.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Geology & Geography at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 15, 2008. We seek applicants in any area of the environmental geosciences. Secondary expertise in GIS is desirable. The successful candidate will teach Environmental Geology and other courses in the department as well as support the science education curriculum. Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and advising undergraduates, and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity.
