New email filtering system: Users will periodically receive an email quarantine report. Read a quick guide (pdf)
Windows XP and Office 2003 End of Life: Please be advised that Microsoft will cease providing all support for the Windows XP operating system and Office 2003 on April 8, 2014. This means Windows XP will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft and will be extremely vulnerable to malware and outside attacks. BraveMail Transition: Microsoft is requiring a mandatory transition from their Live@edu service, which backs our student BraveMail system, to their new Office 365 platform. This transition will take place during a 72 hour window starting on August 3rd. For more information click here.
UNCP Campus Wireless Network Change: The campus wireless network (uncpairnet) has been replaced with BraveWiFi and the residence halls with ResidentialWiFi. BraveWiFi will be available anywhere except inside University Housing, and ResidentialWiFi will be available in University Housing only. UNCPAIRNET will no longer be available.
