Mandated Fees by the State of North Carolina
Athletics
Funds intercollegiate athletics, including staff and team operations.
Education and Technology
Funds specialized instructional supplies and services for scientific and information technology equipment.
Health Services
Funds medical services for students, including staff, maintenance, and operation of student health centers.
Student Activities
Funds nonacademic student services (student unions, intramural facilities, student organizations, newspapers, yearbooks, and entertainment programs).
Campus Security
Funds campus safety and security initiatives, including staff, training, and operations.
Debt Service
Funds the principal and interest for capital projects. Examples for UNC Pembroke include the Track & Soccer Complex, Multipurpose Center, Health Services Building, and Campus Rec. Outdoor Complex.

AlcoholEdu for College and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates are comprehensive prevention programs that all newly enrolled students must complete. Having new students complete AlcoholEdu for College and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates is how UNCP meets federal requirements for quality education (i.e., Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Community Act, Title IV from the U.S. Department of Education and Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act PL 103-322).

Task Stream Fees
During the Spring 2018 semester, the UNCP Board of Trustees approved a student fee to cover the costs of using Taskstream. This fee is $25 and is collected each Fall and Spring semester.
