The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System

IPEDS is the core postsecondary education data collection program for the National Center for Education Statistics (U.S. Department of Education). Data are collected from all primary providers of postsecondary education in the country in areas including enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty, staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid. These data are made available on the IPEDS website to students, researchers and others.

From this webpage, you can create customized reports for UNCP and other schools in the UNC system in the following areas: Academic program inventory, certificate program inventory, Enrollment and degrees conferred, Fall enrollment, Freshmen measures, retention/graduation/persistence, and transfer student performance. Most of these reports can then be saved or printed in either a .pdf or an Excel format.

College & University Professional Association for Human Resources

CUPA-HR is the national authority on compensation surveys for higher education HR professionals. The Association publishes four annual salary surveys, plus benefits and benchmarking surveys. The four annual salary surveys are: the Administrative Compensation Survey, the Mid-Level Administrative and Professional Salary Survey, the National Faculty Salary Survey for Four-Year Institutions, and the Community College Faculty Salary Survey. Executive summaries of each of these surveys are available for free on this website.

National Center for Higher Education Management Systems

NCHEMS maintains an Information Center for State Higher Education Policymaking and Analysis. This website is an effort to provide higher education policymakers and analysts with the data and information needed to make sound policy decisions. The website contains comparative data for states and counties in categories of higher education such as student preparation and participation, affordability, student learning, completion, benefits, employment, and finance. By clicking on \"Policy Questions,\" you can find answers to specific questions regarding North Carolina's system of higher education.

The Education Trust's \"College Results Online\"

\"College Results Online\" is an interactive, user-friendly Web tool designed to provide policymakers, school counselors, parents, and students with information about college graduation rates. Created by The Education Trust, this free tool allows users to select virtually any four-year public or private nonprofit college or university in the country and see how its graduation rate compares with that of similar institutions serving similar student populations. It also allows an examination of graduation rates by students' race, ethnicity, and gender.

The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education

The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education promotes public policies that enhance Americans' opportunities to pursue and achieve high-quality education and training beyond high school. As an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, the National Center prepares action-oriented analyses of pressing policy issues facing the states and the nation regarding opportunity and achievement in higher education-including two- and four-year, public and private, for-profit and nonprofit institutions. The National Center communicates performance results and key findings to the public, to civic, business and higher education leaders, and to state and federal leaders who are poised to improve higher education policy. For example, one portion of the website is called “Measuring Up: The NationalReport Card on Education” which provides state leaders, policymakers, researchers and others with access to the a national report card on higher education as well as access to all fifty state report cards. Report cards are available from 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006.
