Associate Professor, Adjunct
Dr. Altobello earned degrees at the University of Florida and the University of Notre Dame. She is an Associate Professor of Marketing at University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she teaches principles of marketing, marketing research, sales management, integrated marketing communications, and a new course in digital marketing/social media analytics. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was Associate Professor of Marketing and MBA Director at Southern Illinois University for 13 years. Through independent consulting work and projects with students, Dr. Altobello has collaborated with national and regional companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations on data analytics, survey research, experimental research, mobile marketing, social media strategies, promotional planning, decision complexity in services, and statistical analysis. Her research interests are in the areas of consumer behavior, digital marketing, social media, technology acceptance, international pricing, small business strategy, and services marketing. Dr. Altobello’s work has been published in top academic journals, such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin (past research published under additional names: Suzanne A. Nasco or Suzanne Altobello Nasco).
