About

Dr. Melissa Mann is an Associate Professor of Management. She received her Ph.D. in Organizational Studies specializing in Human Resource Management and Training and Development from the State University of New York at Albany School of Business. She is a soccer fanatic who played for the New York Magic in the W1 League and the New York Athletic Club in the Women's Premier Soccer League pursuing a career in academia. Dr. Mann has been teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels for over ten years and is passionate about her teaching endeavors and her research agenda.

Her current research revolves around understanding the antecedents and outcomes of work ethic espousal, as well as creating programs aimed at transforming work ethic beliefs and behaviors. She has published both empirical research and pedagogical investigations, and has presented her research at international and regional conferences. She was sad to leave her soccer playing days behind her in New York, but is thrilled to now be a member of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke team.
