Gaye Acikdilli is an Assistant Professor with the School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She earned her Bachelor degree in International Trade and her MBA at Baskent University. She completed the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business Administration at Ankara University in Turkey. Dr. Acikdilli brings experience from Turkish companies and trade associations. She has served as a full-time Research Assistant during her degree programs and was promoted to an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Baskent University, where she taught for more than 10 years. Dr. Acikdilli’s teaching experience includes numerous business and marketing courses at both the bachelor and master levels. She actively participates in international academic conferences. Her research focuses on global marketing and business as well as entrepreneurship and sustainability. Her articles are widely cited, for example, “Marketing Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Marriage of Convenience or a Shotgun Wedding?” that was published in the Journal of Business Ethics.
