About

"I came to Pembroke looking for a new adventure.  I wanted to leave my hometown in Virginia and challenge myself with a different way of life and new people.  It quickly became evident that UNCP was the place for me!  I jumped right in and joined multiple student organizations and clubs in my major.  I had so many opportunities for growth that wouldn’t have been available anywhere else.  The support and encouragement I received here propelled me to move abroad and pursue a Master’s degree.  I am thrilled to return to UNCP to represent my University around North Carolina, and share how committed and meaningful this university, the faculty, and staff are to our students.  It is the most genuine, supportive, and passionate community into which I have ever had the pleasure of being welcomed."

Knudson's territory responsibilities include the North Carolina counties of Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Gates, Granville, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Lenoir, Nash, North Hampton, Orange, Pitt, Vance, Wake, Warren and Wilson. Out-of-state recruitment: South Carolina. She is the Student Telecounseling Co-Advisor.

Knudson earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2012 and a Master of Public Health from the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, England, UK in 2014. She joined the admissions team in August 2015.
