About

Ariana Dewar is a cellist currently living in the Raleigh area. Mrs. Dewar received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in performance from Converse College and Florida State University where she studied with Kenneth Law and Gregory Sauer. At Converse College Mrs. Dewar was a member of the Honors Undergraduate String Quartet and while at Florida State she played as principal and assistant principal with the University Symphony Orchestra. She is the principal cellist of Raleigh Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with North Carolina Symphony, Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, Tar River Orchestra, and Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She performs for many different occasions and is available for weddings, church services, parties, and other special events. Mrs. Dewar has worked with the Tallahassee Youth Orchestra coaching middle and high school students. She gives private cello lessons to all ages.
