Danny Amendola began playing the piano at age six and gave his first solo concert at the age of seven. While attending high school in South Florida he won two prestigious piano competitions: the Ruth Schmidt and Bob Messenslauger competitions. Mr. Amendola’s primary piano instructor was Gerald Snyder, pupil of Beryl Rubinstein. Mr. Amendola has taught elementary music for over 29 years and is currently a music teacher in Cumberland County at Stoney Point Elementary School. He teaches general music, directs a children’s choir and an ORFF ensemble. He is an adjunct instructor at UNCP, the pianist and choir director at Cumberland Baptist Church and teaches privately at his studios in Fayetteville and Pembroke, NC. Mr. Amendola is married to Nettie Jacobs Amendola and they have five children; Joshua, Taylor, Alyssa, Joseph and Antoinette.
