Assistant Director for Student Engagement
(He/Him/His) I am a creative doer. I inspire to make a difference in the world through the power of education.
I currently work at UNC Pembroke as the Assistant Director for Student Engagement in the Office for Community Engagement and have served in several capacities in the past 6 years in education, social justice sector, and public service. During my career I have served as an advocate for social change, student engagement, democratic engagement and civic learning. Before accepting the position at UNCP in Fall of 2014 I served as the AmeriCorps Vista with UNCP and managed a mentoring program that connected UNCP students with at-risk youth in the local area.
In my free time I love doing musical theater and putting my creativity to good use doing crafty things. I also love to volunteer and serve others. I am originally from Sneads Ferry, N.C. but call Pembroke home.
