We wanted to make you aware of the strong possibility for our region to experience winter weather beginning this evening through Friday morning, including snow, sleet and freezing rain.
For the safety of our campus community, the university will be reducing operations beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020 through 10 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020.
STUDENTS: All classes and campus activities after 5 p.m. on Thursday through 10 a.m. on Friday will be canceled.
FACULTY & STAFF: The university will be operating on Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, through 10 a.m. Friday morning. Under Condition 1, the university remains open, but certain non-mandatory operations may be reduced due to more limited staffing. Mandatory employees must report to or remain at work. All other employees have the option to report late, leave early, or not work at all; however, the employee is responsible for informing his/her supervisory chain in a timely manner of all such decisions. Employees must use available leave for any work time missed during a Condition 1 event. Please view the adverse weather policy for additional information.
We are aware that conditions may vary greatly throughout our service region. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to continue reviewing local weather and road conditions to make well-informed choices about travel to ensure your own personal safety.
