My name is Jacob McMillan from Shannon, North Carolina. I attended Robeson Early College High School where I graduated with my high school diploma and associate of science degree in May of 2016. This allowed me to fast forward my education and my transition to UNCP. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in information technology. I have always had a love and a very quick response to learning new technology. From a young age, I was always interested in computers, laptops, cell phones and really anything electronic-related. I am currently using my degree with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office as an information technology tech. Working at the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office during COVID-19 has allowed me to help and see how important first responders can be, especially during this time.
