Students are inducted as Regular Members in the Psi Lambda Chapter of TriBeta

The annual induction ceremony for the Psi Lambda Chapter of TriBeta enjoyed a great gathering on 3 April 2019, as family, friends, and faculty joined ~ 20 new inductees in the University Center Annex for their formal initiation.

Dr. Amber Rock (TriBeta Faculty Sponsor) welcomed the audience, and the Psi Lambda officers presided over the ceremony, including the charge to candidates, reading of candidate biographical sketches, and presentation of certificates.  The presiding officers were Maria Chavez (President), Shannon Hunt (Vice President), Jacob Locklear (Treasurer), Lauren Oxendine (Secretary), and Aseel Abumohsen (Historian).

TriBeta (or Beta Beta Beta) is a national honor society for students of the biological sciences, and it encourages greater appreciation and understanding of the natural world, while sponsoring scientific research.  For more information about the Psi Lambda Chapter of TriBeta, visit this webpage.
