Senior Lemuel Subdias placed second overall at the annual Peach Belt Conference Art Exhibition.

Subdias, a senior art studio major from Pinehurst, was recognized for his encaustic beeswax painting entitled “Pride.” His piece was displayed on a slideshow during the 2020 Peach Belt Conference Basketball Tournament Championship at Lander University March 7-8.

Each institution in the conference was invited to submit digital images of two to three-dimensional artwork completed by their students and faculty. Other UNCP entries were submitted by Isaiah Holley, Catherine Palmer, Nicole Amanda Bell, Joseph Miller, Stoney Faulkner and Jay Josephson.

Subdias took home first place in 2019 exhibition.
