Graduating Art major Karina McMillan's work has been accepted into the The Fierce Urgency of Now: Socially Engaged Printmaking exhibit at the Turner Print Museum in Chino, California. Only 36 of 436 pieces were accepted and the show will run from February 14th to April 9th, 2022.

TPM exhibitions are highly competitive, and it's quite unusual for an undergraduate to show in them.  Additionally, Karina was offered and accepted a position at the Xico Latina and Indigenous Art and Culture Venter in Phoenix, Arizona ( https://www.xicoinc.org ).

Karina is Lumbee and from Red Springs.  Her experience at UNC-Pembroke has been extremely positive, and we are excited to see what she accomplishes in the future!
