Thanks in part to funding from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, UNC Pembroke faculty and students have partnered with the Migrant Education Program to create a teaching garden in Robeson County for migrant students.

Led by Serilda Goodwin (Public Schools of Robeson County), educational activities focused on the garden are designed to empower migrant youth, enabling them to attain high academic standards, which otherwise are made challenging by language differences and frequent relocations and educational disruptions.
