Mara Miller is a Nashville-based flutist and creative. She currently serves as a board member for the International Society for Black Musicians and the chamber group chatterbird while contributing as a marketing specialist with the Naxos record label. She holds a BM performance degree from Middle Tennessee State University and a MM performance degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
Rebecca Kuehl is a professional flutist, Alexander Technique teacher, energy healer and meditation coach. Having a strong calling toward the arts and healing from a young age Rebecca pursued a career in music. Upon graduation of her Master's degree and Performing Artist's Diploma in Flute performance from Mannes Conservatory in New York City, she obtained her teacher certification for the Alexander technique at ATNYC studying with John Nichols. After years of integrating the Alexander principles into her flute playing while freelancing and teaching in the New York Area, she became known as the 'healer of the healers' to professional musicians and other performers of New York City – helping them to find more ease, freedom and creative expression in their craft. After many years of hands-on work, Rebecca felt a calling to expand on her healing gifts. She is an energy healer pooling together her certifications and studies in the Alexander Technique, Mindfulness Meditation, Reiki as well as plant and mineral therapies.
Sarah Busman is the flute professor at UNCP and the principal flutist of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. She is the founder of the Darkwater, which celebrates womyn in music through scholarship, performance, and new music. Sarah holds a BM from Middle Tennessee State University and an MM from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She lives in Fayetteville, NC with her husband, fellow UNCP professor Joshua Busman, her two little boys, Arthur and Simon, and her hound dog Foster.
