The Center for Student Success in collaboration with the Office for Community & Civic Engagement is home to UNCP’s Peer Mentor Program (PMP). The PMP serves a select diverse group of first- year students in their transition to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) by matching them with a trained peer mentor.
The peer mentoring program is developed to enhance knowledge of campus resources, foster a stronger sense of belonging and cultivate a peer support system that leads to student success.
Provide an inclusive peer mentor community that enhances student success through curricular and co-curricular programs and resources that increase retention.
