Peer Mentor Program
The Center for Student Success in collaboration with the Office for Community & Civic Engagement is home to UNCP’s Peer Mentor Program (PMP). The PMP serves a select diverse group of first- year students in their transition to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) by matching them with a trained peer mentor. The program is developed to enhance knowledge of campus resources, foster a stronger sense of belonging and cultivate a peer support system that leads to student success. Currently we have 155 mentees being mentored by 57 upperclassman mentors.
