The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity and the Hispanic Heritage Committee at UNC Pembroke recently announced events for Hispanic Heritage Month. Celebrated annually September 15 through October 15, the month’s events highlight and raise awareness of the heritage, history and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latinx Americans.

The Spanish Program of the Department of English, Theatre, and World Languages, the Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity, Sigma Delta Pi, OLÉ, and the Acto Latino are excited to announce the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Fall Festival.
The festival will be held during Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday, September 15 from 12 – 2 p.m. Meet in front on the Dial Building at 12 p.m. to participate in the parade from the Dial building to the University Center Annex (where the festival will be held). This celebration is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to enjoy cultural activities that students from the Spanish Program and student organizations mentioned above prepared.
After the musical events and games, the Dining Hall will be serving Hispanic foods. Be sure to enter the raffle during the festival to win a free lunch!
