Staying on campus provides many benefits, including immediate access to Residence Life staff for support and resources, a robust campus life, programming and leadership opportunities inside and just steps away from your residential community, the most cost-effective option in the area and having peace of mind to feel safer and positively impact your academic success.
First-year students are assigned a roommate based on application preferences and availability; however, each year thereafter, you can participate in the Housing Selection Process. This process allows you to select your own space for the academic year.
Details about the Housing Selection Process for current upperclassmen and rising sophomore (current freshmen) students can be found below. If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to the Housing and Residence Life office.

How to Select your New On-Campus Home
Please follow these instructions:
- Log into BraveWeb
- Click the "Housing Application" menu option
- Login again with your university credentials (the same login as BraveWeb)
- Click and complete step 1, your housing agreement.
- Once you've completed the agreement, return to the home page and complete step 2, your housing assignment.

-
How do I request a roommate?
You and the roommate(s)/suitemate(s) you are requesting should log into the Housing Management System (through BraveWeb) on separate computers, and select the same space (room/suite/apartment) during the Open Space Selection process outlined above.
Because spaces go fast (and are first-come, first-serve), residents usually get together in a common space (study room, computer lab, or multipurpose room), login on individual computers into their own BraveWeb account, and choose their new space together.
-
What is the length of the housing agreement?
Applicants should understand the agreement is for the upcoming academic year (Fall 2023-Spring 2024).
A Petition for Release must be received prior to June 30.
Learn more and/or submit your Housing Agreement Petition for Release form below:

Can I bring a pet in my new space?
The student housing setting is not conducive to the presence of animals; therefore, the university prohibits animals with the exception of freshwater fish, service animals and approved emotional support animals. Additional information regarding animals on campus can be found here.
Aquariums under ten gallons are permitted and are limited to one per room. As a heads up, during extended holiday hours, power may be shut off which could affect power, heating and lighting in student rooms.
Violations of this regulation will result in the resident being cited as a code of conduct violation. The student will be subject to the expenses incurred for the room in violation and the adjoining rooms in the event that the exterminators are contacted. The Animal Control Board will be contacted to remove the animal if a student continues to violate this policy.

Once I sign a housing agreement, how can I be released if I change my mind?
See more information about being released from your housing agreement here:
-
When do I move into the assignment I am choosing now?
This Housing Selection Process (that you are completing in Spring 2023) is for the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 academic year.
No matter if you choose to reserve the same space or a new space, you will move into it in August 2023. Details about the August 2023 Move-In will be emailed to your BraveMail email address closer to the move-in date.
The Housing Selection Process will not change your assignment for Spring 2023.
