Educational Programming

The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity (OSID) strives to create a robust and inclusive campus environment that provides a transformative intercultural experience. Consequently, OSID provides educational programming that promotes: increased awareness of self and others; an understanding of and knowledge about diverse cultures, identities, and communities; and, strategies and techniques for taking action to communicate and work with diverse groups, identify and openly discuss cultural differences and issues, challenge biases and discrimination and facilitate the development of a culture that is inclusive. As a result, students will be better prepared to engage in and contribute to a diverse and interdependent global society.

Green Zone Icon

UNCP Green Zone training is for students, faculty, and staff who wish to learn more about the military-affiliated student experience. The goals are to train members of Brave Nation to know more about the issues and concerns faced by military-affiliated students and to identify individuals who are available to assist this population. Upon completion, participants will be able to lend a sympathetic ear and help student-veterans identify and connect with the appropriate resources.
