Community Forward Fellowship

The Community Forward Fellowship (CFF) is a two-year program that is designed to engage students in servant leadership, while creating meaningful and impactful experiences in the surrounding communities of Pembroke, NC.

This fellowship introduces and engages UNC Pembroke students to the importance of servant leadership and a true meaning of the Brave Experience, while also bridging the gap between Community Partners and the University.

CFF is a cohort-based program that supports freshmen, sophomores, and juniors as they navigate through UNC Pembroke and continue to find and create their own communities.

In the first year, fellows will learn about servant leadership, building a growth mindset, the Appreciate Based Change Model, and enroll in UNV 2000: Student Development Theory, with a service-learning component.

By the end of the Fellowship, Fellows will have completed 90 hours on-site at the community-based placement, mentor the next cohort of fellows, and present at the Community Forward Fellowship Symposium.

*This is an unpaid fellowship.
