9.16.24 updated at 8 a.m./ UNCP continues closely monitoring the potential for tropical weather conditions. At this time, the university is maintaining its normal operating schedule. Be sure to give yourself extra time to navigate to and from campus and be observant of your surroundings when walking across campus.

Elections Process - 2024 Fall Special Elections

The Student Government Association Fall Special Elections are meant to fill any vacant seats not filled during regular elections in the spring semester. All UNC Pembroke students are members of the SGA, and these students are represented by elected or appointed officers. This is your opportunity to become an officer – be involved in the democratic process and create a positive change for yourself and other students on campus. To review current vacancies in our senate, please visit our Active SGA Members page and scroll down to the Legislative Branch section.

Below is a timeline for the Fall Special Elections:
August 1 - Application to Run for Office OPENS
August 28 - Application CLOSES
August 29 - Verification of Applicants and Finalization of Ballot
September 2 - Campaigning and Voting Begins
September 8 - Campaigning and Voting Ends
September 9 - Certification of Ballots and Announcement of Election Winners
