I'm Accepted! What's Next?
Congratulations on your acceptance to UNC Pembroke! Now that you have been accepted, there are several items you should complete. The information provided below can also be found in your acceptance packet.
The following newly accepted students should review their acceptance packet and then contact the Center for Student Success at 910.521.6625:
- Transient (Visiting) Students
- Non-Degree and Enrichment Students
- Non-Traditional Freshmen and Second-Degree Seeking Students
- Readmission Students
The following newly accepted students should contact Undergraduate Admissions at 910.521.6262:

Online Only Students
1. SET UP YOUR BRAVEWEB ACCOUNT
You will need the ACTIVATION CODE found in your acceptance letter to complete your account registration. Your STUDENT ID is also known as a BANNER ID and can be found in your BraveWeb account. The BANNER ID will be used very often, so please make note of it. Logging into BraveWeb gives access to BraveMail, Banner Self Service (registration, student records and financial aid), Student Insurance Waiver, Meal Plans and Online Account Center (charges, payments and refunds), etc.
2. COMPLETE FAFSA & FINANCIAL AID
FAFSA: Complete the FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov to determine your financial aid eligibility. Make sure you have listed UNC Pembroke's school code (002954) on the FAFSA application. NOTE: You must be fully admitted to UNC Pembroke before financial aid can be awarded. Please call our Financial Aid Department if you need assistance with at 910.521.6255.
Financial Aid: To check your financial award status: 1. Login to BraveWeb 2. Click Banner Self Service 3. Click Student Financial Aid 4. Click Financial Aid 5. Click \"My Eligibility\" to see if additional documents are needed 6. Click \"My Award Information\" to view your award for the year. Please check your BraveMail account as well as your personal email account for information from our Financial Aid office including information on additional documentation needed to process your aid. Typically, financial aid award packets are sent in late March or early April.
Military and Veterans: If you plan to use Federal Tuition Assistance or receive VA benefits, please CLICK HERE for instructions.
3. COMPLETE NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION AND REGISTRATION
Online orientation is required for all online and distance education students. The registration fee $75.00. PLEASE NOTE: You are NOT required to pay the orientation fee up-front; it is directly applied to your student account and will appear on your tuition and fee bill.
4. COMPLETE THE STUDENT HEALTH FORM
Students that do not plan on enrolling in classes on campus are NOT required to complete the Student Health Form.
5. WAIVE OR ACCEPT STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE
Online and Distance Education students are NOT required to purchase a student injury and sickness insurance plan.
6. GET YOUR BRAVES CARD (STUDENT ID)
In addition to being your official UNCP ID card, the Braves Card grants you access to a variety of locations on campus including dining facilities, residence halls, the library and vending machines. It is also your ticket to athletic and other campus events as well as a discount card within the community.
8. STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Student Account activity may be managed through your BraveWeb account. This will allow you to view your bills, make payments, and set up authorized users (parents, employers, etc.)
