Welcome to the Division of Engaged Outreach at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
As an administrative unit, Engaged Outreach consists of distance education, veteran & military affairs, continuing education, and community engagement.
The division is responsible for harnessing the academic resources of the University to respond to the educational needs of students throughout the region and beyond, who, because of work and family obligations, may not have access to campus-bound degree programs.
Through collaborations with partner community colleges, students can earn the associates degree and continue on to the baccalaureate degree without coming to campus.
As a school that is known for its attentiveness to the needs of veterans and active-duty soldiers, UNC Pembroke takes its programs directly to servicemembers through online and hybrid classes as well as eight-week terms on the Fort Bragg Post.
In response to the business needs of the region, Engaged Outreach offers various professional development programs through the Regional Center. North Carolina is part of a fast-changing world that is undergoing enormous socio-economic changes, and the Regional Center is the place where industry innovation and university expertise meet to forge dynamic solutions in real time. Short-term, non-credit courses are developed and customized to meet the preferences of each constituent partner.
