Greetings!

I hope that you will spend some time on our website, getting to know the Maynor Honors College and the students and faculty who we have highlighted here. You will see that we are a diverse, perhaps even eclectic, group, but we do have one thing in common: we are excited about learning. And in the Maynor Honors College, learning is fostered through community. Students take small, discussion-based classes and have the opportunity to live together in Oak Hall. It truly is a special community where students work independently and collaboratively to pursue their passions and investigate new possibilities--while managing to have fun as well!  

Our goal in the Honors College is to provide  a richer and deeper undergraduate experience while you’re here at UNCP. We do this by supporting student research, community engagement, global experiences, and leadership. Whatever your major or career interests, we want you to leave our program ready to take on your next challenge with confidence, and to look back on your time here as the transformative life experience that higher education is meant to be.
